The going rate for a human ghostwriter, verified against the market as of July 2026: a genre novel runs $3,500 to $18,000 on Reedsy's numbers, typical nonfiction $18,000 to $50,000, and the writers with bestsellers behind them charge $150,000 to $300,000. Delivery takes three to nine months. An ACEPHALE render is $499 and takes seven days, and it is not the same product. The honest paragraph

If what you need is a finished, polished book and a collaborator who carries you there, hire the human. The good ones earn their fee, and nothing on this page argues otherwise. A render is for a different moment: when the thing standing between you and your book is the first hundred thousand words, and what you want is that draft in hand, owned outright, at a price that doesn't require the book to be a business plan.
